Vision And Values
Beliefs are not meant to sit on a shelf. They shape worship, discipleship, community, mission, repentance, generosity, and the way we love our neighbors. At PPC, doctrine should lead us toward Jesus and into a life that looks more like Him.
The Trinity
We worship one God who has eternally existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is the foundation underneath everything else we believe.
About God
God has eternally existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity possesses equal power, authority, glory, and deity, while serving distinct functions in the work of creation, redemption, and new life.

The Father is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is holy, good, sovereign, and personal. He has eternally existed as one God in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father and Spirit. He lived sinlessly, died as the perfect sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return to reign as King of Kings.

The Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts the world of sin, indwells every believer at salvation, guides believers into truth, gives power for holy living, and helps the church bear witness to Jesus.

The Bible tells the truth about us with both dignity and honesty: we are made in God’s image, deeply loved by God, and unable to save ourselves apart from Jesus.
About Humanity
People are made in the spiritual image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. Every person carries God-given dignity and value. At the same time, all people are marred by sin, an attitude and condition of disobedience toward God that separates us from Him.

Salvation is a free gift from God, not something earned by self-improvement, religious performance, or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Christ by faith.

We were created to exist forever. Every person will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in eternal union with Him through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Jesus gave His church visible practices that help us remember the gospel, publicly identify with Him, and worship as a family.
About Baptism
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is not a means of salvation, but a public declaration that someone belongs to Christ and desires to walk in obedience to Him.

Communion is an ordinance given by Jesus to remember His sacrifice and symbolize the new covenant. The bread and juice point to His broken body and shed blood. It is a testament of faith, remembrance, and worship, not a means of earning salvation.
