VISION & VALUES
What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and reflect the historic Christian faith we share as a church family.
__________
THE TRINITY
God, Father, Son & Spirit
ABOUT GOD
God has existed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all eternity. Each member of the Trinity possesses equal power and authority, serving different functions — one in essence, three in person.
Deut. 6:4 · Matt. 28:19 · 2 Cor. 13:14
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father and Spirit. He lived sinlessly, died as the perfect sacrifice for sin, rose from the dead, and will return to reign as King of Kings.
Isa. 9:6 · John 1:1–5 · 1 Cor. 15:3–4
ABOUT THE FATHER
The Father is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed as one God in three co-equal persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Gen. 1:1 · Psalm 90:2 · 1 Peter 1:2
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts the world of sin, indwells every believer at salvation, and provides power for living and understanding of spiritual truth.
John 16:7–13 · Eph. 1:13 · Gal. 5:25
HUMANITY & SALVATION
People, Sin & Redemption
ABOUT MANKIND
Man is made in the spiritual image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Though created with tremendous potential for good, all people are marred by sin — an attitude of disobedience toward God that separates us from Him.
Gen. 1:27 · Psalm 8:3–6 · Rom. 3:23 · Isa. 59:1–2
ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is a free gift from God — not earned by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Christ by faith.
Rom. 6:23 · Eph. 2:8–9 · John 14:6 · Titus 3:5
ABOUT ETERNITY
We were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in eternal union with Him through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16 · Rev. 20:15 · Matt. 25:31–46
SCRIPTURE
About the Bible
"The Bible is God's Word to all mankind — written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit."
It is the supreme source of truth for Christian faith, hope, love and life. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error — containing everything we need to know to have a relationship with our Creator.
2 Tim. 3:16 · 2 Pet. 1:20–21 · Psalm 119:105
CHURCH PRACTICE
Baptism & Communion
ABOUT BAPTISM
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is a public declaration of faith — not a means of salvation, but a biblical command demonstrating love and obedience to Christ.
Col. 2:12 · Acts 2:41 · Matt. 28:19–20
ABOUT COMMUNION
Communion is an ordinance given by Jesus to remember His sacrifice and symbolize the new covenant. The bread and juice symbolize His broken body and shed blood — a testament of faith, not a means of salvation.
Luke 22:19–20 · 1 Cor. 11:23–29
