God’s grace Never Runs Out

Introduction
This week at Pacific Point Church, Pastor David delivered a passionate and eye-opening message on the overwhelming, undeserved grace of God. With humor, depth, and conviction, he reminded us that God is not the “Grace Nazi” — His grace isn’t withheld when we stumble; it overflows beyond measure. Through powerful Scripture, stories of forgiveness, and personal testimony, Pastor David showed how God’s grace not only covers our sin but also empowers us to live free.

Section 1 — God Is Not the Grace Nazi
Grace isn’t conditional.
Using a memorable Seinfeld clip, Pastor David illustrated how some believers see God as withholding grace like a strict gatekeeper. But Scripture reveals the opposite:

“Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.” – Romans 5:20

Grace is not earned. It’s extravagant. It’s “ridiculous,” as Pastor David said — grace that slaps. God is a grace benefactor, not a grace miser. His mercy never stops pouring out, both now and in eternity.

Section 2 — Conviction Is Not Condemnation
Many believers live under guilt because they misunderstand conviction.

“When the Comforter has come, He will convict the world of sin.” – John 16:8

The Holy Spirit convicts the world, not the Church. For those in Christ, conviction isn’t about shame — it’s our own conscience responding to God’s truth. The Spirit comforts, advocates, and strengthens. He’s never the accuser; that’s Satan’s job.

Section 3 — Hindrances to God’s Grace

1. Unforgiveness
Unforgiveness blocks grace and hinders prayer. Jesus taught that forgiveness isn’t an act of faith but an act of obedience.

“When you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them.” – Mark 11:25

Pastor David shared the story of an Amish community forgiving the family of a man who killed their children — a shocking picture of God’s love in action. True forgiveness is freedom.

2. Pre-Planned Repentance
You can’t schedule repentance. Grace isn’t a loophole for sin.

“Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!” – Romans 6:1

God’s love is unconditional, but His grace can’t be manipulated. Real grace empowers holiness, not excuses.

3. Pride

“God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6

Pride blinds us. It’s the root of every fall — even Lucifer’s. Pastor David warned not to be like the donkey carrying Jesus into Jerusalem, mistaking the cheers meant for the King as applause for ourselves. “Don’t be a dumb ass,” he quipped. Stay humble and grace flows freely.

Section 4 — Grace Is Received Through Faith
Grace and faith are inseparable.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith.” – Ephesians 2:8

Faith isn’t wishful thinking — it’s withdrawing from what’s already deposited in the finished work of the cross. Pastor David shared his testimony of surviving stage-four cancer by standing on God’s promises, not wishful hope.
Faith looks back at what Christ has done, not forward to what might happen.

Section 5 — Surrender, Don’t Strive
Repentance is surrender, not self-improvement.
For those in recovery or wrestling with sin, Pastor David reminded us: you don’t have to be perfect — you just have to be willing. When you surrender your will, Jesus does the transformation.

Section 6 — The Call to Salvation
The message closed with an invitation for everyone to confess Jesus as Lord.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Those who prayed were encouraged to seek prayer and communion as a reminder of the crushed body and shed blood of Christ — grace remembered in every bite and sip.

Key Takeaway
Grace isn’t a permission slip — it’s power for transformation.
God’s grace doesn’t say, “No grace for you.” It says, “Again and again and again — you are rescued, forgiven, and free.”
