The price for your Faith
Sermon Notes: Celebration Sunday
Speaker: Pastor John Blue
Theme: Conviction, Celebration, and Community Life at Pacific Point
Key Question: What’s Your Price?
“What is your price for what you believe?”
If the price isn’t your life, then you are “for sale.”
The world needs men and women who will stand—and even die—for truth.
A Current Example: Charlie Kirk
Charlie Kirk (1993–2025) was tragically murdered this past week.
Pastor John emphasized: Charlie was not Jesus, not a saint, just a man—but he wasn’t for sale.
He understood:
Who Jesus was (his Savior).
What Jesus did (died for his eternal life).
Who God called him to be (a disciple and a witness).
Known for his boldness, willingness to debate graciously, and conviction to speak truth with respect.
His life illustrated discipleship, evangelism, and commitment to God’s Word as truth—even at personal cost.
The Call to Truth and Conviction
The gospel exposes darkness—many hated Jesus not for His kindness but for His truth (John 15:25).
Scripture calls believers to stand on biblical truth even when culture resists:
Sanctity of life (Psalm 139:13–16).
God’s design for men and women (Genesis 1:27).
Unity across races and classes (Galatians 3:28).
Love for enemies (Matthew 5:43–44).
Pastor John: “My price is my life. I can’t compromise God’s Word.”
Celebration in the Midst of Tears
Testimony video: five men baptized—former addicts, now walking in faith and sobriety.
“You cannot argue with a changed life.”
Lives transformed are proof of the hope of Jesus.
